BEAVERTON, Ore., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Epitope, Inc. (AMEX: EPT)
announced today that it has established a new position of Controller and
appointed Mark V. Allred, most recently a senior manager with the
"Big 6" accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP to the new position.
    During his 14 years in public accounting, Allred served a wide variety of
manufacturing and technology clients.  He graduated from Portland State
University in 1980, receiving a B.S. in Business Administration and
Accounting.  In 1982, he was awarded a Master of Business Administration
degree by the University of Minnesota.  He is a certified public accountant.
    As Controller, Allred will serve as principal accounting officer of the
company supervising all accounting and finance functions, including financial
control systems and procedures, internal and public reporting and analysis of
financial results, auditing and internal controls, cash management, insurance,
risk management and financial planning.  He will also be responsible for
filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and various taxation
authorities.
